September 11, 2001 - 911 Ceremony
Elks Members will come together on the steps of the Wallingford Town Hall
along with the community to pay their respects to the lives that were lost.
Seven years after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, people across
the United States and in Wallingford Ct., will pause in a moment of silence to
remember the 2,973 people who were killed that day.
Please join your fellow Elks members.
May we never forget, may we keep this day, the events and the tears in our
minds, our memory and our hearts and take them with us as we carry on.
‘‘I WANT TO REMEMBER’’
Please remember these people every day in prayer, thought and action,
especially during the holidays when what we take so much for granted
is not enjoyed by all Americans.
“Live a life worthy of their sacrifi ce”
To the victims of this tragedy, to their families, friends and loved ones.
To the survivors, the fi refi ghters, the police, the volunteers. To those who help
without reservation, to those who lost their lives doing so. To those who still
help and pray around the world. God bless you and keep you forever.
May we always remember. May we fi nd peace in this world.
May this never happen again.
